No. 194
G.
Sir,
Enclosure 3.
399
C. O.
310
7
Government House,
Hongkong, 26th November, 1894.
In reply to your letter of the 22nd instant,
I have the honour to inform you that it is proposed to pay
the compensation to officers for the full pay in exchange from
the 1st January last, and that you would appear to be entitled
to about $155 per mensem on the average during the
current year.
I may add that I presume the rate of exchange
for full pay drawn in England while on vacation leave would
be 3 shillings the dollar, but I propose to refer this point
to the Secretary of State for his decision.
His Honour
E. J. Ackroyd,
Acting Chief Justice.
I have, &c.,
(sd.) W. Robinson.
